چکیده
The periodontal disease etiology has been a demesne of scrupulous research, with myriad bacterial phylotypes inhabiting the pockets. aim our study was to assess frequency Filifactor alocis in type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) subjects having healthy periodontium (DH) or chronic periodontitis (DCP) and its correlation clinical parameters red complex bacteria. Polymerase chain reaction carried out for detection F. bacteria from subgingival plaque samples. data were analyzed using Fisher’s Exact Test Pearson’s chi-square test. A p value < 0.05 considered statistically significant. detected at considerably higher levels DCP (p 0.05). presence also positively correlated T. forsythia PD CAL Subjects good glycemic control showed lower as compared fair- poor-glycemic-control subjects. This is first paper reporting co-occurrence diabetic periodontitis. These findings show that can play an important role establishing synergistic collaborations other pathogenic oral microorganisms speeding up course diabetics.

Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) and chronic periodontitis (CP) show common pathophysiological features. We investigated the serum levels of IL-23 and IL-35 in people with type 2 DM and CP. Methods: In a cross-sectional study, 72 patients were divided into four equal groups: group A, participants without type 2 DM and CP; group B, patients with type 2 DM without CP; group C, patients ...
متن کاملA Filifactor alocis-centered co-occurrence group associates with periodontitis across different oral habitats
Periodontitis is a highly prevalent polymicrobial disease worldwide, yet the synergistic pattern of the multiple oral pathogens involved is still poorly characterized. Here, saliva, supragingival and subgingival plaque samples from periodontitis patients and periodontally healthy volunteers were collected and profiled with 16S rRNA gene pyrosequencing. Different oral habitats harbored significa...
متن کاملComparative analysis of subgingival red complex bacteria in obese and normal weight subjects with and without chronic periodontitis
Background Obesity is one of the systemic conditions which influence the onset and progression of periodontal disease and it is stated that the metabolic changes associated with obesity may contribute to alteration in subgingival microbial flora. Aim Our study was aimed to quantify and compare the red complex microorganisms in obese or overweight and normal weight participants with and withou...
متن کاملIn Situ Anabolic Activity of Periodontal Pathogens Porphyromonas gingivalis and Filifactor alocis in Chronic Periodontitis
Porphyromonas gingivalis and Filifactor alocis are fastidious anaerobic bacteria strongly associated with chronic forms of periodontitis. Our understanding of the growth activities of these microorganisms in situ is very limited. Previous studies have shown that copy numbers of ribosomal-RNA precursor (pre-rRNA) of specific pathogen species relative to genomic-DNA (gDNA) of the same species (P:...
