چکیده
• Chinese university students’ WTP for both voluntary and compulsory carbon reduction regimes is examined. The their domestic international flight footprints estimated. Their positively related to income, environmental concern trust in the projects. Females tend have a higher WTP. intention contribute during Covid-19 pandemic was lower. Carbon offset programs taxes not been introduced China’s aviation sector, but may be implemented coming decade. This research surveys students understand factors associated with willingness participate pay offsets travel. Our survey subjects represent future frequent flyers generation likely impacted most by global warming. We find that (WTP) emissions levels of offsetting/reduction than males. mean offsetting regime travel approximately 36.33 yuan, whereas under about 28.65 yuan. For travel, these two figures are 45.37 yuan 71.70 respectively.

متن کاملHow Deliberation Affects Stated Willingness to Pay for Mitigation of Carbon Dioxide Emissions: An Experiment
Respondents reported willingness to pay (WTP) for mitigating carbon dioxide emissions after structured group discussion or without this deliberation. Deliberation did not affect mean or median WTP, but it increased the number of issues respondents considered, with some issues becoming more frequently considered and others less. Surveyonly respondents considered issues relevant for responding to...
متن کاملGerman Car Buyers’ Willingness to Pay to Reduce CO2 Emissions
Motorized individual transport strongly contributes to global CO2 emissions, due to its intensive usage of fossil fuels. Current political efforts addressing this issue (i.e. emission performance standards in the EU) are directed towards car manufacturers. This paper focuses on the demand side. It examines whether CO2 emissions per kilometer is a relevant attribute in car choices. Based on a ch...
متن کاملWillingness to Pay for Digital Services: Challenges for Future Research
In this article we discuss three issues that should be considered important in future studies of willingness to pay (WTP) for services in digital networks. First, existing studies of WTP for digital services have several weaknesses when it comes to contextand incentive realism and we suggest alternative methods to overcome these weaknesses. Second, a review of existing studies of WTP for digita...
متن کاملWillingness to Pay of Air Passengers for Carbon-Offset
An important source of anthropogenic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is the air transport sector, which accounts for approximately 2% of global GHG emissions. Therefore, reducing GHG emissions from aircrafts has become a major challenge for transportation authorities worldwide. In recent years, much research has focused on tax ideas related to the CO2 emissions produced by air transport, such as...
