چکیده
Coriandrum sativum L. is an aromatic plant belonging to the Apiaceae (Umbelliferae) family, originating in Mediterranean region. C. widely cultivated worldwide and has nutritional medicinal values. The seeds contain essential oil that used different industries like pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food. This study aims extract, analyze, evaluate antioxidant activity of seed Afghanistan. was extracted by hydro-distillation (HD) extraction analyzed High-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC). HD provided yield 0.16 % (v/w). Also, HPTLC analysis determined two components oil, linalool myrcene. quantification content method validation were using densitometric analysis. As a result, identified 60.06 %, proved as valid for oil. Furthermore, DPPH radical scavenging assay reported IC50. ascorbic acid utilized positive control, evaluated comparison with acid. IC50 0.02 ± 0.0004 (mg/ml) 21.05± 0.284 (mg/ml), respectively. Thus, showed lower than first report on extraction, chemical composition,
