Credential fraud is a widespread practice that undermines investment and confidence in higher education systems bears significant economic social costs. Legacy credential verification are typically time-consuming, costly, bureaucratic, struggle against certain classes of fraud. In this article, we propose comprehensive blockchain-based solution, Cerberus, which considerably more efficient, easy, intuitive to use, effectively mitigates manifestations Cerberus also improves significantly upon other solutions the research literature: it adheres closely existing ecosystem addresses real-world scenarios. Moreover, uses on-chain smart contracts for revocation, does not entail students or employers manage digital identities cryptographic credentials use system. We prototype our solution describe attempt design an online service with rich feature set, including data privacy, transcript verification, selective disclosure data. hope effort contributes positively alleviating problem fake credentials.
