چکیده
Abstract Traditional fertilization not only enhances the acidification of soil but also leads toward eutrophication. Here stimulatory and inhibitory effects foliar Cordia based silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were studied on lettuce ( Lactuca sativa L.) biomass accumulation, antioxidant activity, morphological anatomical modifications. The AgNPs supplied with a concentration 25, 50, 100 ppm along control (deionized water) negative AgNO 3 for consecutive 25 days. L. fresh dry accumulation significantly higher by 53%, leaf area 25%, water holding capacity 207% sprayed at AgNPs. application had shortened shoot length (52%), while spray promoted root (40%). Among different concentrations AgNPs, 50 improved thickness stem epidermis (44%), hypodermis (130%), cortex cell (372%). For studies, depicted highest anti-oxidative activity 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl hydrazyl radical scavenging (75%), total (167%), phenolic content (292%), reducing power (60%), showed maximum flavonoid (243%) as compared to control. Thus, we may conclude that have both . These dependent varied growth, antioxidants, traits plant.
