Association between periostin and bone minerals in osteoporosis and osteopenia Iraqi patients

Background: osteoporosis is characterized by a reduction in bone mineral density, skeletal microstructure breakdown, increased fragility, and fracture susceptibility. Osteopenia the preceding step to because it causes decrease mass, reduces person's quality of life. Study objectives: The purpose this study determine periostin levels serum Iraqi patients with osteopenia, also possible consider as diagnostic factor follow progression osteopenia osteoporosis.
