Assessment of thyroid dysfunction in women with menstrual disorders in reproductive age group

Background: Thyroid disorders are among the most common endocrine in world. dysfunction can disrupt a variety of metabolic and physiological processes, including menstrual cycle. The purpose this study was to discover pattern thyroid women with disorders. Methods: It is cross-sectional that includes 116 women. With reproductive age disorder. tested who had problems. Serum free triiodothyronine (T3), thyroxine (T4), stimulating hormone (TSH) levels were used assess function. Results: mean patients 25.7±6.8 years. disorder irregular cycle 72.5%, amenorrhea 21.9%, menorrhagia 5.6%. majority between ages 15 24 (51.1%), followed by 25-34 (36.1%) 35-45 (12.9%). T3 T4 2.911.05 pg/ml 1.420.57 ng/dl, respectively. TSH 2.0 mIU/L on average (IQR, 1.0-4.0). observed 25.8% (n=60). Subclinical hypothyroidism (14.2%, n=33) dysfunction, subclinical hyperthyroidism (6.9%, n=16), overt (3%, n=7), (1.7%, n=4). Conclusions: reveals frequently have particularly hypothyroidism.
