چکیده

A rapid and specific aptamer-based surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) for the detection of S. enterica at a serovar level was developed. The aptamer modified in this research with an additional short chain adenine fluorescein molecule. SERS method could differentiate between subsp. Enteritidis (S. Enteritidis) Gaminara Gaminara) allowed in-vitro 3 log CFU/mL. characteristic peaks 1184 730 cm−1 were used as reporters presence it binds specifically to that bacterium. Membrane filter-assisted surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy for the rapid detection of E. coli O157:H7 in ground beef.

Consumption of food contaminated with Escherichia coli O157:H7 is one of the major concerns in ensuring food safety. Techniques that are simple and suitable for fast screening to detect and identify pathogens in the food chain is vital to ensure food safety. In this work, we propose a simple and rapid technique to detect low levels of E. coli O157:H7 using membrane filtration and silver intensi...

Molecular Diagnosis of Plasma Phenylalanine in Neonates with Phenylketonuria Disease Using Biological Sensors Based on Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS)

In this study, silver nanoparticles were chemically synthesized and deposited on glass substrates using a reducing agent of sucrose, at 50°C. Different characterizations including atomic force microscopy (AFM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), and Raman spectroscopy were obtained to study silvery substrates. Then, the silvery substrates were used as the SERS substrates to de...

Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy for trace arsenic detection in contaminated water.

Low-level arsenic contamination of drinking water in Bangladesh, India, and parts of China presents an international public health crisis, with over 300000 deaths attributed to chronic poisoning in Bangladesh alone. In 1993, the World Health Organization set a provisional guideline of 10 ppb (0.01 mgL ) for maximum arsenic content in groundwater. However, exposure to arsenic at these concentrat...
