Acute management of ocular chemical burns: A review

چکیده

Ocular chemical burns are produced by irritants, acids or alkalis. Their severity depends on the type of causative substance, its concentration, physical form, duration contact, ocular surface area affected and delay in medical attention. Severe cases can be difficult to manage posing a challenge for general practitioners ophthalmology specialists. This review aims describe protocol action their immediate management since they ophthalmic emergencies which lead fatal consequences without adequate treatment, impacting health, quality life labor productivity patient.
