چکیده
The agricultural sector is required to produce food at the same pace as population growth, while accounting for pollution and costs. For this reason, conservative practices have been employed worldwide. Attenuated Total Reflectance–Fourier Transform Infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy has ability provide a snapshot of macromolecular composition sample in timely cost-effective way it widely applied field agriculture assess quality. aim study was exploit ATR-FTIR impact different soil tillage methods (conventional tillage, CT; minimum MT, no NT) nitrogen fertilization levels (0, 90 180 kg N ha−1) on leaves caryopses durum wheat (Triticum turgidum subsp. durum). analysis spectral data revealed that quality wheat, terms protein content, grown with not reduced. Indeed, regards caryopses, influenced only lipid hemicellulose whereas sensitive mostly during early stage growth. Moreover, relevant effects were found when fertilizer concentrations used. These results important knowledge supporting adoption both no-tillage treatments reduced dosage development management strategies support use practices.

Transfer of Soft Kernel Texture from Triticum aestivum to Durum Wheat, Triticum turgidum ssp. durum
Durum wheat (Triticum turgidum ssp. durum) is a leading cereal grain whose primary use is the production of semolina and pasta. Its rich culinary relationship to humans is related, in part, to its very hard kernel texture. This very hard texture is due to the loss of the Puroindoline genes that were eliminated during the allopolyploid formation of T. turgidum approximately 0.5 million years ago...
متن کاملSome Physiological and Biochemical Effects of NaCl Salinity on Durum Wheat (Triticum durum Desf.)
The main objective of this study was to examine the effects of NaCl on the leaf growth and some physiological and biochemical characteristics of an Algerian durum wheat (var. Waha) landrace. NaCl (150 mM), as compared to control plants, significantly reduced all the leaf-growth parameters as leaf area (33%), leaf dry weight (41%) and leaf fresh weight (32%), but did not induce any change in the...

Drought effects on elongation kinetics and sugar deposition in the elongation zone of durum wheat (Triticum durum Desf.) leaves
The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of drought stress on the kinetics of leaf elongation in relationship to the variation of sugar concentrations and their net deposition rates along the elongation zone of leaf 4 of durum wheat plants. Plants were grown in soil in a naturally illuminated greenhouse, and water...
متن کاملAgrobacterium-mediated transformation of durum wheat (Triticum turgidum L. var. durum cv Stewart) with improved efficiency
An efficient Agrobacterium-mediated durum wheat transformation system has been developed for the production of 121 independent transgenic lines. This improved system used Agrobacterium strain AGL1 containing the superbinary pGreen/pSoup vector system and durum wheat cv Stewart as the recipient plant. Acetosyringone at 400 microM was added to both the inoculation and cultivation medium, and picl...
