A Queueing Model for Traffic Flow Control in the Road Intersection

In this paper, we consider a simple road intersection with traffic light control and suggest queueing model for the flow in intersection. The suggested implements well-known queue state-dependent departure rates. Using model, define optimal scheduling of lights its properties. Activity is illustrated by numerical simulations. It demonstrated that practical conditions allows prevention jams resolves vehicles queues reasonable waiting times crossing lanes.
