A Novel Imaging Algorithm for Wide-Beam Multiple-Receiver Synthetic Aperture Sonar Systems

چکیده

In existing imaging algorithms for wide-beam multiple-receiver synthetic aperture sonar (SAS) systems, the double-square-root (DSR) range history of each receiver is generally converted into sum a single-square-root (SSR) and an error term using displaced phase center (DPCA) approximation. Therefore, before imaging, receiver’s needs to be individually compensated in azimuth frequency domain, which computationally expensive. As result, novel SAS system algorithm with low complexity high precision suggested. First, translation relationship between histories reference other receivers used derive SSR approximation that takes account variance non-stop-hop-stop time while ignoring differential curvature (DRC) from different receivers. Then, principle stationary (POSP), two-dimensional (2-D) spectrum point target obtained. Finally, data are transformed monostatic SAS-equivalent after correction, delay reconstruction. The range-Doppler (RD) as example explain specific steps proposed approach. Simulation ChinSAS experiments verify achieves performance comparable algorithm, but much higher computational efficiency, making it suitable real-time imaging.
