A Multi-Criteria Decision Support Concept for Selecting the Optimal Contractor

A way to minimize uncertainty and achieve the best possible project performance in construction management can be achieved during procurement process, which involves selecting an optimal contractor according “the most economically advantageous tender.” As resources are limited, decision-makers often pulled apart by conflicting demands coming from various stakeholders. The challenge of addressing them at same time modelled as a multi-criteria decision-making problem. aim this paper is show that analytic hierarchy process (AHP) together with PROMETHEE could cope such result their synergy, decision support concept for (DSC-CONT) proposed that: (a) allows incorporation opposing stakeholders’ demands; (b) increases transparency consistency process; (c) enhances legitimacy final outcome; (d) scientific approach great potential application similar problems where sustainable decisions needed.
