#2827 RISK FACTORS FOR VENOUS AND ARTERIAL THROMBOEMBOLIC COMPLICATIONS IN NEPHROTIC SYNDROME: A COHORT STUDY

نویسندگان

چکیده

Abstract Background and Aims Venous thromboembolic events (VTE) arterial (ATE) are serious complications of nephrotic syndrome (NS). Studies needed to identify patients at high risk for VTE ATE. We aimed describe patient-related factors ATE in a mixed population patients. Method This multicentre cohort study included adult NS with plasma albumin <30 g/l urine albumin-creatinine ratio (uACR) >2,200 mg/g, who were hospitalized or followed an outpatient clinic the Central Denmark Region between 2014-2018. Using computerized data extraction from medical files, identified until dialysis, transplantation, end study. recorded comorbidities, family history, renal parameters and, histological diagnosis index time as well as, medication VTE/ATE event. Categorical continues compared using difference mean respectively. The incidence event is presented rate. Results Among 531 patients, 22 had their first 46 within observation year (median 0.8 vs. 0.9 years). Incidence rates 11 per 1000 person-years (95% CI: 7-17) 24 18-32) Plasma-albumin levels (27 g/l) identical group time, but eGFR was lower (Table 1), uACR higher uACR; 1055 mg/g 2752 mg/g). Hypercholesterolemia more prevalent among VTE, they often on corticosteroids than Diabetes, hypertension, heart failure baseline resulting increased CHADS-VASC score. Mortality (83%) (32%). Conclusion Patients have Corticosteroid use common associated uACR, CHADS2-VASC score, mortality VTE.

High absolute risks and predictors of venous and arterial thromboembolic events in patients with nephrotic syndrome: results from a large retrospective cohort study.

BACKGROUND No data are available on the absolute risk of either venous thromboembolism (VTE) or arterial thromboembolism (ATE) in patients with nephrotic syndrome. Reported risks are based on multiple case reports and small studies with mostly short-term follow-up. We assessed the absolute risk of VTE and ATE in a large, single-center, retrospective cohort study and attempted to identify predic...

Thromboembolic complications at the onset of nephrotic syndrome.

Nephrotic syndrome is associated with hypercoagulable states and a subsequent high risk of venous and rarely arterial thromboembolism. Although venous thromboembolism has been a recognised risk, prevalence of pulmonary embolism in patients with nephrotic syndrome is based on data from different case series. Here we report a 5 year old child with nephrotic syndrome who developed life threatening...

Evaluation of Guidelines and Risk Factors for Venous Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism in Hospitalized Children: A Cross-Sectional Study

Background: Thromboembolism (TE) in pediatric population is rare but may be a fatal situation. There is a lack of clinical guidelines to help decision making for the use of prophylactic measures in pediatrics. This study was designed to evaluate current guidelines and risk factors for the prevention of venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism (DVT/PE) in children. Materials and Methods: Th...
