چکیده

Background: Risk factors affecting cutaneous melanoma metastasis and prognosis have been actively studied. Previously, we had found that amelanotic mild pigmentation of acral was associated with first distant metastasis, whereas heavy lymph node metastasis. Objective: We aimed to confirm lymphatic proliferation invasion according degree in melanoma, by immunohistochemical stains cell culture. Methods: The study included 101 patients or Tissues evidence were stained CD31 D2-40 Melan-A double staining. analyzed the correlation between results immunostaining pigmentation, patients. Also, co-culture model established verify proliferation, using human dermal endothelial lines variable pigmentation. Lymphatic assay tube formation analyze difference melanoma. Result: common heavily pigmented melanomas. processed less than control lines. Whereas, more Contrarily, showed Conclusion: different particularly invasion.

Pitfalls in Cutaneous Melanoma Lymphatic Drainage.

Sentinel node (SN) biopsy has become standard in staging of cutaneous melanoma. As skin lymphatic drainage is complex, preoperative empirical assessment of SN localization is virtually impossible. Therefore in order to identify all regional lymphatic basins corresponding to a specific primary tumor is mandatory to carry out preoperative lymphoscintigraphy. In this paper we present a clinical ca...

PURPOSE Lymphatic invasion (LI) in primary cutaneous melanomas was recently found to be common. In this study, we evaluated LI as an independent prognostic factor. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN This study included 251 patients with vertical growth phase (VGP) primary cutaneous melanomas who had paraffin-fixed lesional tissue and were in a prospective cohort seen between 1972 and 1991, had no clinical e...
